WAYB's Giving Tuesday Efforts
Empowering Children, Supporting Families
At WAYB, the spirit of Giving Tuesday is core to the team and its commitment to positively impacting the lives of children and families. This year, WAYB has chosen to collaborate with two remarkable organizations, The New Jersey Department of Children and Families and The 1,000 Books Foundation.
The New Jersey Department of Children and Families focuses on providing children with a safe and stable living environment, aligning seamlessly with WAYB's commitment to child safety. The 1,000 Books Foundation promotes not only literacy but a love for learning before kindergarten, contributing to holistic child development.
In planning our Giving Tuesday support, we wanted to ensure meaningful support for our partner organizations that make a tangible difference for the children using the products and help our partners fulfill their mission.
Empowering the New Jersey Foster Care System
With an estimated 391,000 children in the foster care system in the United States, our team’s personal and family experiences as foster parents have shaped WAYB's passionate involvement in these initiatives. The Pico Car Seats and Ready to Roam bags symbolize more than just material donations—they represent gestures of stability and hope in the lives of children facing complex realities. The Pico Car Seats, designed for travel and ease of transportation, provide a safe and efficient solution for the frequent movement of children within the foster care system. Recognizing the emotional needs of foster children during transitions, WAYB also chose to donate Ready to Roam bags. These bags offer a more personal and dignified way for children to carry their belongings, providing comfort during times of upheaval.
A Love Of Learning Today Means A Lifetime Of Adventures
With 1000 Books Foundation. The partnership with The 1,000 Books Foundation is a testament to WAYB's commitment to literacy and education. By contributing to this foundation, WAYB aims to foster a love for learning in children before they step into formal education.
