Giving Tuesday Takes Flight

In honor of Giving Tuesday, WAYB is donating Pico portable car seats to Angel Flight West, to further support families traveling for medical treatments. 

Transportation challenges create one of the most daunting barriers to healthcare—a barrier second only to the cost. For families commuting for medical treatments, the last thing they want to worry about is bulky gear weighing them down. It’s humbling to know that the Pico portable car seat lightens the load for these families – while on the road, in rentals and rideshares, from the airport to the hospital, and everywhere in between.

While Pico helps families on the road, we’re honored to partner with Angel Flight West, a charitable aviation organization focused on helping families in the sky. Their network of volunteer pilots donates their time, talent, and resources to give free medical transportation to passengers. For nearly four decades, they’ve provided 95,000+ flights, creating pathways to healthcare across the Western United States. This year, with children comprising one-third of their passengers, we’re honored that WAYB’s Pico car seat donation will be gifted to families to use on the ground, while Angel Flight West provides safe passage to families in the air.
