What are the Pico's age, height, and weight requirements?

The Pico is recommended for children 2 years and up who meet the applicable height and weight requirements for their specific seat. The date of manufacture can be found on the label on bottom of your Pico car seat.

Seats manufactured on or after June 30, 2025:

  • Weight: 26.5–50 lb (12–22.7 kg)
  • Height: 33.5–45 in (85–114 cm)

Seats manufactured before June 30, 2025:

  • Weight: 22–50 lb (10–22.7 kg)
  • Height: 30–45 in (76–114 cm)

The Pico can be used with children 1 year and up as long as they meet the other height and weight requirements. However, both WAYB and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recommend that children be harnessed in rear-facing car seats for as long as possible until they reach the highest height or weight limits set by the car seat manufacturer. We encourage you to check with your state laws as they can differ in terms of how long they require a child to remain rear-facing.
