Here at WAYB, family is at the core of who we are.

This Mother’s Day weekend, we asked you to share an appreciation post for the mamas out there. We loved seeing your families and hearing about your Mother’s Day traditions! You all even inspired us to pull some photos of our favorite ladies and share why we treasure their presence in our lives. See below for some mama love letters from the WAYB team!

“My mom was always cool, but as I’ve gotten older, she’s also become my best friend. She always wanted to be an archaeologist or an anthropologist, but she was encouraged to go to business school instead. She picked the most creative field she could, marketing, and now she has her dream job as Director of Marketing and Outreach for all the state-run museums and monuments in New Mexico. She ultimately found out how to have both. She inspires me to work hard, not to give up on my dreams, and to remember to chill out and have fun often. I love her a ton.
